TREASURY HISTORY BOOK will contain extensive historical images of the Building, with text on its construction. Written by architectural historian Pamela J. Scott, the book will present a separate chapter on the history of each of the four wings of the Building. Also, there will be a chapter on the original Treasury Office in Washington, DC, completed in 1800 and destroyed by arsonists in 1833. THA's Publication Committee is now finalizing arrangements with a publisher and current plans are for the book to be published in mid-2010.

Advance reservations for the book may be submitted to THA through this application form.

THA's CFC organization number for designated contributions is 34342. THA’S CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT CAMPAIGN began with its kick-off on November 28, 2007. The Campaign is a multi-year effort to raise private funding to assist the Department of the Treasury in 12 high-priority preservation and restoration projects in the Main Treasury Building and its environs, as well as furnishings and documents in Treasury’s collections of historically-significant items. Eight former Secretaries of the Treasury have agreed to serve as Sponsoring Members of THA’s Capital Development Committee. Detailed information about the various projects to be funded through this Campaign is contained in THA’s Treasury Restoration Projects booklet, and contributions will be appreciated in any amount. Contributions may be designated for a particular project listed in the booklet or be considered to be undesignated, as desired by donors’ indication on the donor card.
